KiRA - Children's Rights in Africa


KiRA or “Kinderrechte Afrika” in German, which means Children’s Rights Africa (was Bice Deutschland e.V. until October 2009), is an international children’s rights organisation based in Lahr (Germany) involved in implementing basic rights for children and young people in Africa . Our work is based on the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child and the African Charter for the Rights and Welfare of the Child.


Since 1996 over 60 projects have been carried out together with partner organisations in 7 African countries, costing a total of over 16 million euros.
